I had this dream
I was going crazy;
Sketched an ideal picture
Of my drama lately

I leave my dents
In the sheets,
Take my lumps
On the streets
To the beat of deadlines
Moved pedestrians’ feet

I had this dream
I was going deaf
I heard,
“Take out the tears”
She said,
“Take out the trash”

I leave my dents
In the sheets,
Take my lumps
On the streets
To the beat of deadlines
Moved pedestrians’ feet

I had this dream
I was going blind
I was gaining
On a tall ledge,
But overall felt fine

I leave my dents
In the sheets,
Take my lumps
On the streets
To the beat of deadlines
Moved pedestrians’ feet

I had this dream
That I couldn’t smell
Bullshit lingered,
Helped me land
A spot in hell

I leave my dents
In the sheets,
Take my lumps
On the streets
To the beat of deadlines
Moved pedestrians’ feet

I had this dream
That I was crippled
They said, “I don’t wanna hear it,
Throw the tears on your dimples”

I leave my dents
In the sheets,
Take my lumps
On the streets
To the beat of deadlines
Moved pedestrians’ feet

I had this dream
That I couldn’t move
By the break of dawn
It was déjà vu

I leave my dents
In the sheets,
Take my lumps
On the streets
To the beat of deadlines
Moved pedestrians’ feet

I had this dream
That I arose from bed
It seemed so real
With all the
Blood you spread

I leave my dents
In the sheets,
Take my lumps
On the streets
To the beat of deadlines
Moved pedestrians’ feet

I had this dream
When I was
In a coma
The one who cared the deepest
Boasted “See, I told ya!”

I leave my dents
In the sheets,
Take my lumps
On the streets
To the beat of deadlines
Moved pedestrians’ feet

I died in this dream
It was overwhelming
I fell off my bike,
Grabbed the icy railing
I leave my dents
In the sheets,
Take my lumps
On the streets
To the beat of dead lines
Moved pedestrians’ feet
Writing with heavy eyelids....

Long I know. It was complex selecting stanzas to delete. Eh, I'll tidy it up later, format and all....

Any helpful suggestions/hints??

Much love, all  :glomp:

You know what? You know something is good when you can hear music playing to it in your mind. For some reason, it reminds me of some free verse stuff by Ellen Hopkins.
